Through its comprehensive assessment and service plans, IS&SS assists individuals with disabilities and families who have children disabilities self-advocate to bridge the gap that exists between people with disabilities and the community. Specifically, ISS offers:
Advocacy at IEP
Pre-planning, attending IEP and follow along
services to ensure that students with disabilities meet the goals and
objectives stated in the IEP.
Benefits Counseling
Assistance navigating disability related benefit
systems, such as the Social Security Administration, Medicare, Medicaid, and
others.
Michigan Auto No-Fault
Assistance completing forms and filing related
to Personal Injury Protection (PIP) benefits for a Michigan Auto No-Fault
claims.
Transition to Adulthood
Supporting and assisting families who
have children with disabilities exit the intermediate school system.
