SUPPORTING SOCIAL WORK PROFESSIONALS THROUGH SUPERVISION & PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT OPPORTUNITIES
Social Work Licensing in Michigan
The goal of professional supervision is to develop interaction between
the supervisor and a supervisee that provides evaluation and guidance for the supervisee's
social work practice, promoting ongoing professional development of the
supervisee’s knowledge, values, skills, and abilities to
engage in the practice of social work in an ethical and competent manner.
Michigan social work professionals
require 4 hours documented
supervision each month. Supervision must be provided by a licensed
Master’s level social worker. Christina
