About Independent Support & Supervision Services, LLC
Independent Support & Supervision Services, LLC was established by Christina Tilney, LMSW in response to a community need for disability-related systems advocacy, counseling, coaching, and supervision services to not only social work professionals but also to adults whose lives are impacted by disability.
Independent
Support & Supervision Services, LLC (IS&SS) is committed to the provision of
services that support and
guide adults new to an emotional, physical, or cognitive disability
through systems advocacy, and tailor made coping strategies; assisting
individuals achieve a new life after disability is the ultimate goal. Similarly, IS&SS provides support to strengthen life for families who have children with
disabilities. IS&SS recognizes the
importance of investing in the lives of children who have mild, moderate, or
severe disabilities to ensure a healthier family life for themselves.
Through its comprehensive assessment and service plans, IS&SS intends to assist individuals with disabilities and families who have children disabilities self-advocate to bridge the gap that exists between people with disabilities and the community. All services are "Strengths Based" and founded in the principles of independent living. Within the scope of service, Christina Tilney a Masters Level social worker, will assess the client's existing strengths and problem areas. A service plan with progressive skill training is established. Service plans include goals, objectives, and measurable outcomes with timelines to ensure success. Emphasis is placed on the client participation in the completion of the service plan.
Systems advocacy includes but is not limited to Special Education, Social Security Administration, Medicaid, Medicare, and Auto-No Fault personal injury protection claims.
IS&SS also provides communication facilitation services for professional groups, civic groups, support groups, and workgroups.
